Tips for someone new to prioritising themselves and actually having fun

I finally started going to therapy a couple months ago at the age of 29 to deal with some stuff and I'm finding out / realizing some unpleasant things about me. Next week I'm heading for a week long solo trip to Italy where I'm planning to eat tons of pizza and ice-cream, walk dozens of kilometres through beautiful streets, stare at the sea for hours and just not think about anything back home for a bit.

What are some things a person who's new to loving themselves and prioritising themselves can do to enjoy life more? What do you do for yourself when you're on holiday that is only meant to bring you joy? I mean, I will be reading, walking, visiting museums and stuff which I always do and enjoy, but I mean more like - something small, whimsical or fleeting - I'm thinking like buying myself some flowers and popping them in a vase at my accommodation so I have something pretty to look at every day
