Albania Itinerary Feedback

Hey all, would love some thoughts on my May Albania road trip.

Current itinerary looks like this:

• Tirana, 5 nights/3 days

  • arrive very late night 1.
  • includes a day trip to Kruje.
  • rent a car on my way out.

• Saranda, 5 nights/4.5 days

  • day trip to Gjirokaster.
  • day trip to Ksamil and Butrint.
  • possible day in Himare or Dhermi.

• Berat, 2 nights/~2 days

  • some combo of exploring the city, a winery tour, Bogove.

I'm unfortunately skipping the north. I live in a place with a lot of that kind of nature and I'd rather come back when I can do the hikes that are gonna be closed.

Otherwise, I love hot areas for nightlife, great beach and water activities, and plenty of aimless wanderability. Great culture, architecture, history as well but that should be pretty well covered regardless.

- Anything feel egregiously absent from my itinerary?

- I hear Dhermi and Himare can be kinda dead until June, worth part of a day or even a night?

- Any recommendations for paddle boarding or kayaking in the Riviera outside the easier to find tour options?

- Anything actually worth exploring Saranda itself for other than using it as a base?
