Red skin tone epiphany

I shoot a lot of events where the majority of attendees are middle aged guys who are overweight and drink a lot (tourism and hospitality industry), and I’ve been frustrated at how red my skin tones are coming out in the edit lately. It’s been driving me nuts adjusting calibration and selective color sliders, and then it hit me.

The people I’m shooting have ridiculously red faces. They’re always slightly drunk, sweaty, overweight, I realized after actually looking around during one of these events without my camera that holy shit everyone is just beet red. Now I can sleep at night.
